Calculate Your Salary Increase

Use our free Salary Increase Calculator to see exactly how a pay rise affects your salary. Enter your current salary and percentage increase to instantly calculate the value of your raise and your new salary.

How to calculate a salary increase

Multiply your current salary by the percentage increase divided by 100. Add the increase amount to your current salary to find your new salary.

Example:
Current salary = $3,000
Pay rise = 8%

$3,000 × 8 ÷ 100 = $240
$3,000 + $240 = $3,240

Salary increase = $240
New salary = $3,240

When would you use a salary increase calculator?

A salary increase calculator helps you see how a pay rise changes your salary and how much extra you will earn. It can be useful when reviewing a new job offer, negotiating a pay rise, budgeting after a salary review or comparing different salary increases.

For example, if your salary increases from $40,000 to $44,000, your annual pay has increased by $4,000. Compared with your original salary, this is a 10% salary increase.

Important: A percentage salary increase is normally calculated using your original salary as the starting value. The calculator shows the increase before any deductions such as tax, pension contributions or other payroll deductions.
